Thoughtful. Your insightful view helped to transcend the what felt like poor acting

(except for Willem Dafoe’s presence, gravitas and charisma. He might appreciate these comments as he is also curious and humble.) I just received a freshly made chocolate souffle with piles of whipped cream and a basically “little girl” at the next table is moaning in a high pitched voice about romanticism and, yet, has not managed to intrude upon my chocolate whipped cream moment! Nosferatu contained stunningly a masterpiece painting in every shot! That would only be possible for a production detail coordinator whom the director is. However, he must delve much more deeply into script i.e. the appetite line was hilarious but the Only Line worth quoting or screaming over. That script needed a lot of work! And most of the actors couldn’t act their ways out of paper bags. That has something to do with a director who is more concerned with the dress motif pattern reflecting the amazing wallpaper. Loved it but….I definitely wanted to care about the characters more! Your many reflections about Victorian eroticism, repression and sexual expression were bang on. Thank you!

Really enjoyed reading this Emma. If someone tells me they "didn't get Nosferatu", I'll point them to this piece.
